Building on the images and stories of the photo exhibition „Survivors“, this workshop offers a professional and dialogical exploration of the situation of people bereaved by suicide. In a moderated conversation, the photographer reflects on the origins of the project and his experiences working with suicide bereaved individuals. A psychological input highlights key aspects of grief after suicide, including specific burdens and social challenges. Furthermore practical suggestions for a sensitive and supportive approach to suicide bereaved people are offered and discussed together, which can be applied both in personal contexts and in conversations within telephone crisis support services.
